Volunteering as a Hospital Board Director

As a Board Director, you'll help make real improvements in healthcare that directly supports patients and our local community. Your leadership will help our hospital provide better care, support healthcare workers, and tackle important health challenges that make a different in people's lives.
Hanover & District Hospital’s Board of Directors include a number of dedicated community residents. These Directors volunteer their time to provide governance to the hospital’s activities and offer expertise in a number of areas to support the hospital. Please think seriously of applying for a seat on the Board if you feel you can offer a skill set/ knowledge base in the following;
- Construction & Project Management;
- Legal;
- Information Technology;
- Government Relations/Political Acumen; and
- Public Affairs and Communication.
Applicants are invited to bring their skills, experience and enthusiasm necessary to serve on the Board of Directors by completing the application form. Interested applicants must;
- Meet eligibility requirements of the Corporation By-Laws;
- Be able to commit time to attend regular board and committee meetings;
- Have good communication skills and a broad financial understanding; and
- Should have a current level of active involvement in the community as a volunteer, or experience as a board member.
